High wind warning in effect Thursday morning, snow possible Friday for Fairfield County

As the gusts outside may probably indicate, a high wind warning is in effect for Fairfield County until 11 a.m. Thursday. Winds can be 15 to 30 miles per hour with gusts up to 50 to 50 miles per hour. Strong winds could blow down limbs, trees and power lines. There are currently no power outages in Fairfield County, there are some scattered across the state, according to Eversource. And while we’ve had some mild weather as far as February goes, we’re may not be out of the woods yet with snow. There’s some in the forecast Friday.
